How did you move beyond subject matter and make your images deal with surface quality, not just the subject of the image? I moved beyond the subject by taking the photo from above at an angle and zooming in on the subject. This took focus away from the subject and focused on the elements of the photo. Which of your images do you feel is the most captivating? Do you feel the lighting conditions made an impact on the quality of the images? I feel that the picture of the leaves is the most captivating because besides the focus on the subject, the diagonals reveal other leaves in the background which provide contrast. Lighting conditions didn't have much of an impact on the quality of the image. If you could shoot one of them over again, which one would it be and why? I would shoot the last one again in order to move my focus away from the faucet and focus more on the texture of the wall. Possibly taking it from higher or from below.
